When We Pray Lyrics

Hopesong

It's another busy work day working
Many problems come and go
And it feels his mind get flooded
Breaking down his very soul
Oh so gentle is the worry
Of the spirit deep within
And it's almost too busy
To hear the voice of his king
And too long he seeks inclusion
Finally he gets away
Even though he doesn't feel it
He bows his head and starts to pray
As the spirit gives him wisdom
A fire burns from deep within
Though the earthen things just faint
And the spirits oh they sing

And though how satan trembles
As he calls on Jesus' name
And the gates of hell are broken
As promises are cleaned
All my pain moves to action
Father to obey,
Oh the wonder working power
When we pray

In the kitchen there's a woman
Just an ordinary wife
Taking care of her children
And her husband fills her life
But she hears the spirit calling
She falls down on her knees
Don't no one is there to see her
God is moved by her feet

And though how satan trembles
As he calls on Jesus' name
And the gates of hell are broken
As promises are cleaned
All my pain moves to action
Father to obey,
Oh the wonder working power
When we pray

In the battle there's a soldier
And his head is bound so low
He's been wounded so deeply
And his battered by the foe
But the spirit starts to move in
Bringing life and hope within
All because someone is praying
The wounded soldier fights again

And though how satan trembles
As he calls on Jesus' name
And the gates of hell are broken
As promises are cleaned
All my pain moves to action
Father to obey,
Oh the wonder working power
When we pray

And where are the boats are open
We will be for all
God will not forget our labors
No matter how small
Oh, I for rejoicing
When we gather round his word
We'll be glad we live for Jesus
When we get old.
